Using an Accountant
It is likely that you will need an accountant to go through your accounts and file you returns with the tax office. You need to select one from your local area. You need to find and select a good one, interview several for the task of doing your accounts. Ask them questions, do they look after other similar businesses, how much would they charge. What information do they need and when do they need to have the information.
Keeping Records
You need to keep a record of who you see and when and how much they have paid you. When your
accounts are due you will need to be able to put this information into a form for your accountant. Of course this means
that you need to put in all your incomes and expenditures into Clinic-Aid. Then at the end of the year you can extract
the records for your accountant.
Of course you need to record when a client pays you, and how they have paid. Of course, you also need to select those
clients who owe you money and send them an invoice.
Names, Address, Telephone and Emails
Your past clients are also potential future clients so you need to keep reminding them of your services. Would it help to produce a newsletter for them? Keep them up to date with nutritional information. Advise them of local talks that you are giving. You need to be able to contact groups or all of your clients as a mail shot, or email shot.
